How much does a landing page cost? and what you get for it

A landing page has one job: to turn visitors from an ad or a link into requests. Here is what a good one costs, what it must contain and why prices range so widely.

The short answer

A custom landing page from me starts at $300 and takes 5–10 days. After that you pay for the domain (usually $10–20 a year), and hosting for a static page is free. Texts, forms, analytics and ad tracking are part of the work.

Landing page prices: builder, freelancer, agency

OptionTypical costWhat you get
Builder, done yourselfA monthly subscription + your timeA template you fill and keep paying for
Freelance developerFrom a few hundred dollarsA custom page, usually with direct contact
AgencyOften thousandsStrategy, design, copy and management — in one bill

The difference is mostly in who else is paid besides the person building the page. For a small business with a clear offer, a fast custom page from one developer is usually enough.

What goes into a good landing page

  • A clear offer on the first screen: what you do, for whom and the next step.
  • Proof: examples, numbers, reviews.
  • Prices or a price range — they filter out requests that would not fit.
  • A short form or a messenger button that reaches you instantly.
  • Fast loading on phones, analytics and an ad pixel.

A structure that converts

  1. First screen — the offer, one sentence of proof and a button.
  2. The problem in your customer's words.
  3. How you solve it — three to five benefits, not a list of features.
  4. Proof — works, reviews, numbers.
  5. How it works — three steps from request to result.
  6. Prices or a range.
  7. Questions customers always ask.
  8. The final button.

Landing pages for ads

If the page receives paid traffic, speed and tracking matter as much as design. A slow page wastes the ad budget; a missing pixel means the ad platform can't optimise for real requests. Make one page per offer, repeat the ad's promise in the headline, and set up the Facebook pixel and Conversions API correctly — see Facebook and Instagram ads.

Builder or code

Builders work for a start, but you pay every month and depend on their speed and limits. A custom landing page is paid once, loads faster — which matters for ads — and belongs to you. More in website builder or custom website.

Common landing page mistakes

  • Several offers on one page — visitors don't know what to do; one page, one offer.
  • A heavy video at the top that loads for seconds on mobile data.
  • A form with ten fields — ask only what you need for the first contact.
  • No mobile check — most ad traffic comes from phones.
  • No tracking — without it you can't tell which ad brings requests.

Extra costs to plan for

  • Domain: $10–20 a year.
  • Photos: your own, stock, or a short photo shoot.
  • Copywriting, if you want a professional writer for the texts.
  • The ad budget itself — the page only converts the traffic you buy.

Questions

How much should a landing page cost?

A fast custom page with forms and tracking costs from $300 from me; agency prices are often much higher because more people are involved.

Do you write the texts?

Yes, after a short conversation about your business — or I use yours.

Can I edit the landing page myself?

Yes, if you need to: the page can have a simple editor or a content management system.

How long does a landing page take?

Usually 5–10 days, depending on how quickly the texts and photos are ready.

Will it work with Facebook and Instagram ads?

Yes — the page gets the Facebook pixel and Conversions API, so ads can optimise for real requests.

Describe the task in a couple of sentences. I'll reply with questions, a plan and a fixed price — usually the same day.
